CAT 3 syllabus:
Voltage Regulators: Introduction, Fixed Voltage regulators, Adjustable Voltage regulators, Switching regulators, special regulators.  AC and DC analysis.                DtoA and AtoD converters – Basic DAC Techniques.  Digital PLL,
 ADPLL, clock generation circuit.                  Phase shift oscillator, Wein bridge oscillator, Square wave generator, triangular wave generator, saw tooth wave generator, Comparators and converters: Schmitt trigger, Clippers and clampers, peak detectors, sample and hold circuit.    and whatever discussed in the class.

CAT Books will be distributed on 15/04/2015 in regular class. Quiz will be conducted on 16/04/2015 at 4:30 PM.

I am happy to share that, students have done good in CAT. I may distribute CAT books to both the divisions on Monday 23/02/2015. For A division i may distribute the CAT books at 4:30 PM. In Insignia'15, Dept of E&E is going to conduct "do it yourself competition", Last year most of E&CE students participated and won the prizes. I  wish this time also my students should participate in that event and try to win all the prizes, i will be with you for any help. If you want to change the assignment title you can do it on Monday. Now i am discussing 555 Timer in the class. Within few days 555 timer discussion will be over. Now you are here by informed to download 555 timer applications from Internet. Among those select any one 555 timer or Op-amp application ckt for the assignment. Two students can make one batch now only. You have to Prepare the PCB, you have to solder and show the step by step progress. Deadlines for all these steps will be announced in the blog. You can take help of your seniors or mine. Main intention for giving this assignment is student will be exposed to the application of analog ICs and students will get hands on experience of preparing the PCB, Soldering and testing and also preparing the report. The format for the report will be uploaded in the blog later. You are always welcome for discussions.
